 Mission Statement

We believe God's mission for the church is to be and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, witnessing and serving from our doorstep to the end of the earth.

Identity Statement

We are Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the one body of Christ, we welcome all to the Lord’s Table as God has welcomed us.

We are  First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Hamilton. We believe Jesus is the Christ, Son of the Living God. We minister in Christ's name as Disciples, both clergy & laity. We believe each person has the freedom & the responsibility to read, study & interpret the whole of scripture within the community of the Church. We believe in diversity within unity under the authority of Jesus the Christ. We believe Jesus welcomes ALL to his table, and so we invite you to come and be part of what we are doing here!!
